Card Activation and PIN Selection requests

To activate your PHCU debit card and to select a PIN number, please call 1-800-992-3808.

Lost or Stolen Debit Card

To report a lost or stolen card after-hours please call 1-833-462-0798. You will need to call the Credit Union at 803-978-2101 or 888-978-2101 the following business day to order a new card.

You can stop in to a PHCU branch for a new Debit Card. Instant Issue allows members to obtain a new Debit Card without waiting 7-10 business days. This is a free service and you only have to wait 24 hours for activation before using your card.

After-hours Debit Card Assistance

If you are experiencing problems with your debit card after-hours, please call 1-833-462-0798. If your transaction was blocked by our Fraudwatch services, they may be able to assist you.

Due to an increase in debit and credit card fraud and in an effort to protect your account, PHCU may place additional limits and/or blocks on some foreign transactions. Please notify us if you plan to travel out of the country, so we can make sure that you have access to your account while you are away. Please note that transactions using your PIN should work even when a block is in place.

Our current available daily limits for transactions are:

  • Signature or PIN based transactions: $3000 per day
  • ATM transactions: $700 per day

Debit Card Fraud and Security

You may not know it, but you have round-the-clock protection against the increasingly savvy perpetrators of card fraud. That's because the cards we issue are protected by Risk Office Advisor .

Through Risk Office Advisor we are able to provide industry leading technology, tools and the expertise to manage fraud. Experienced fraud analysts work 24/7, watching for any suspicious card activity and will contact you immediately if they detect potential fraud on your card. You will be asked for the LAST 4 DIGITS of your social security number for verification. Never supply your card number, PIN, or entire SSN. Please make sure that your home and cell phone numbers are current with PHCU in case we need to reach you.

So if you ever get a call from Fraud Prevention Services,  know that our watchdogs are doing their job and preventing potential fraudulent use of your card. Fraud is serious business, and can hit anytime.
