Board of Directors Slate
B.J. TRAYNUM- B.J. was an employee of Palmetto Health for twenty-nine (29) years and journeyed as a staff nurse, head nurse, director and AOD. B.J. has served on the board of directors for more than 20 years and is a community health care provider, annual scholarships to college bound youths, reality lessor, baker, apiarist, community activist, amateur astronomer, gardener, world traveler and avid outdoorsman. B.J. and his wife, Ajrion (RN), have a daughter, Makeda, RN. He attended Lander College and USC-S.
B.J.'s believes he has witnessed and helped steer countless changes and related evolutionary banking shifts, which continue to date. He states the Credit Union is in the mist of change yet again and the opportunities that present will translate into yet more enhanced services, products and greater financial security to our membership. He states that as the economy marches forward and interest rates rising with projected short-term prediction, your banking choice is of paramount importance. He states your Credit Union is not for profit, and thus can invest monies into services, products, facilities enhancements and staff support for the membership. He believes the Credit Union services like the many facets of light thru a prism are forever changing to accommodate your financial needs. B.J. states the Credit Union's motto is a concept that is planned and acted upon, and starts with a not-for-profit credit union, please come bank with us.
FAY ANN PARKER-BROWN- Fay is a Laboratory Manager at Palmetto Health with over thirty-five (35) years of experience in Laboratory Services and Laboratory Administration. Areas of expertise are Microbiology, Molecular Pathology, Safety, Infection Control, Epidemiology and Education. Her educational background includes a BS degree in Biology from South Carolina State University, a BS in Medical Technology from the Medical University of South Carolina and an MBA from Winthrop University.
Fay is an active member of the American Society for Microbiology and several other societies. She also serves as a Laboratory Inspector for the College of American Pathologists. She served as treasurer and fund raiser for different school organizations and her church. She has been married to Charles Brown, a CPA and Assistant Controller, for thirty-five (35) years and has two lovely daughters that reside in Atlanta.
NANCY B. McCLENDON-Nancy is a graduate of Columbia College where she received her bachelors in Communication and Business Administration. She worked at Palmetto Health from January 1990 until July 2007 (1996-2007 as Benefits Manager), Human Resources Manager at Richardson Plowden & Robinson from 2007-2012, 2016-2017, Sr. Benefits Manager at Agfirst Farm Credit Bank from May 2012 until December 2015. Nancy is currently pursuing her own sewing business, The Swan Sewster.
Nancy served on the PHCU Supervisory Committee, two years as Vice Chair and Chair from 2009- 2010. She also served on the PHCU Board of Directors from 2010-2012.
MARY McKISSOCK, CPA- Mary joined Corporate Audit Services in October 2009, between Deloitte & Touche', SCANA and Prisma Health, Mary has 21 years of accounting and internal auditing experience. In addition, Mary has a total of seven years' experience working in a medical office and as the Director of Accounting for Providence Hospitals. Mary graduated from Mary Washington College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from USC in 1996 with a Master of Accountancy, (CPA).
Supervisory Committee Slate
JONATHAN MORSE- Jonathan has been with the Financial Reporting and Analysis Team with Prisma Health Medical Group since August 2011, and a member of the Palmetto Health Credit Union since early 2012. His prior experience includes two years working for a local investment firm during grad school and two years running a family school uniform business in Charleston, SC after completing his undergraduate studies. He received his Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing and Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
RACHEL GOODE- Rachel is a Senior Internal Auditor at Prisma Health and has been an external/internal auditor for five (5) years. Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Clemson University and received her Masters of Accounting from the University of SC.
LOUIS JOHNSTON- Louis recently accepted a new role as an Administrator with Lexington Medical Center. Prior to his transition, Louis served as the Manager of Cardiology Operations with Prisma Health (PH-USC Medical Group) for the last two years and worked within the Prisma Health family for the past eighteen years. Louis received his Bachelor of Science from the University of SC in 2002 and his Master of Business Administration from the Webster University in 2007. He currently resides in Lexington County with his wife and two children.
