Important Tax Refund information
Palmetto Health Credit Union will negotiate US Federal and SC State Government issued tax refund checks under the following conditions:
- The check is made payable to you and you are a member of PHCU
- You provide valid, proper ID (Driver's License, SC State issued ID)
Because federal regulations require us to verify signatures of all payees, joint tax returns must be endorsed by BOTH payees and:
- Valid, proper IDs must be available for both payees.
- At least one payee must be a member of PHCU.
There will be a 5-11 business day hold on all checks not issued by the US Treasury or the State of South Carolina.
To avoid the hassle and speed up your tax refund, please ask your preparer to have your refund deposited directly to your account. Direct deposit is safe, easy, and fast!
